Defensive Handgun: Police and Citizens Work Together

Everyone loves a happy ending, and that is just what we got this last week after a deadly chase was neutralized by the police with assistance from an armed citizen.
After observing suspicious behavior, pharmacy tech Ben Barton called police on some individuals putting on wigs and switching license plates on their vehicles. After IDing the vehicle, police pursued the suspects and the driver of the vehicle was later apprehended by two private citizens, one with a concealed carry permit.
The Collegedale police department commended the citizens on their bravery and expressed gratitude for the assistance from the armed citizen. The pharmacy tech had a great piece of advice for everyone, “Watch what’s going on and (do) not ignore the little things. The little things are the things that add up.”
