Defensive Handgun: Fort Wayne Resident Shoots Intruder

Earlier this week police say a man who was shot breaking into a Fort Wayne, Indian home was just one of two criminals involved in the home invasion.

FWPD spokesperson Michael Joyner said it appeared that two men, both armed, forced their way into the upstairs apartment. He said shots were fired by at least one of those men. However, Joyner said no one in the apartment was harmed.

The criminal was shot when one of the adults in the home returned fire, striking one of the criminals who was later found by authorities.

The search continues for the second invader, but I can assure you the first one won’t be robbing anyone for some time.
