Defensive Carry: California Homeowner Shoots Intruder

Early Sunday morning a criminal broke into a Salinas California man’s home only to find that he chose the wrong residence to target.

The homeowner shot and killed the intruder who was found dead in front of the house when law enforcement officials arrived.

At the time this is being treated as a self defense case after witnesses told authorities that Hyde had entered the home and may have brandished a knife at the homeowner.

The investigation is ongoing but at this point there have been no charges against the homeowner.
