Per DC law, a person cannot carry a firearm in a place that serves alcohol however it gives exemptions to a place that holds a Class C/R or D/R. Examples of these restaurants are those licenses for food and beverages with spirits, beer, and wine which are allowed for sale on the premises for consumption. What DC forbids is a licensed carrier consuming or being under the influence of alcohol and carrying his/her firearm.
