Do You Care Enough to Step Up When you See Negligent Gun Handling?

August 1, 2016

For armed citizens, there is no room for negligence whatsoever. Stupidity has no place for an armed person. They are not supposed to commit an error. Not now,  not ever.

You are at the firing range and you see the person in the next lane carelessly pointing his or her gun on others unintentionally. What will you do? If you did nothing, you would bear some guilt if someday that careless person accidentally shot someone. Just this afternoon in North Carolina, a man accidentally shot his brother while disassembling his side arm. Of course, the gun didn’t just fire itself. All the blame is on the owner. All these could have been prevented if he had cleared the gun of ammunition before he proceeded to disassemble it.

All responsibility rests on the individual gun owner. They don’t have any business owning a gun if they are going to act like a toddler  with a toy. They can’t invoke the 2nd Amendment. Gun ownership is not for all, especially not for those who lack common sense and are irresponsible, end of discussion.

Until they learn to become responsible it’s up to us, responsible gun owners, to keep a vigilant watch and point out their negligence.
