Among the states recognized by Maine include Alaska, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Iowa, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Dakota, North Carolina, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah and Wyoming. These states are the only ones honored by Maine. Basically, Maine only accepts states that honor their state as well.
An individual who wants to carry handguns without permit should be at least 21 years old. If carrying with permit, he must be 18 years or older.
